Social Communities

AAA is a group of local artists, art enthusiasts and representatives from local organizations with interest in collaborations with the artists.  Our purpose is to provide a structure for artists and art enthusiasts to bond and support one another, to share our many talents with the community at large and to seek opportunities for collaborations with our local organizations.  AAA members meet monthly, and afford artists opportunities to showcase their work both within and outside the group. All Moyaone Reserve residents and local Accokeek artists are welcome to join by contacting join AAA.

The Accokeek, Mattawoman, Piscataway Creeks Communities Council (AMP Creeks) is dedicated to protecting the environment, and ensuring the sustainability of natural resources and the basic human right to clean air and water.  Through local, state, and national advocacy our approach is threefold:  education, community outreach and collaboration, and legal action.  Priority is given to local, root cause initiatives with specific impacts and outcomes that serve as catalysts to maximize other efforts for responsible environmental stewardship.

AMP Creeks is a small, not-for-profit organization established in 2007.  Originally focused solely on local land use, our original philosophies and goals have evolved.  AMP Creeks often works with other civic and environmental groups such as GACA, The Greater Baden Aquasco Civic Association, We Are Cove Point, Calvert Citizens for a Healthy Community, The FANG Collective, and the Moyaone Association.

The AMP Creeks Council board of directors is comprised solely of volunteers. Only lawyers and experts are paid. Membership is free; although donations are always welcomed. Join AMP Creeks.
