2025 Pool Membership Fees
There are several payment options: print The Pool Membership Application and bring to the pool to pay in person by check, cash, Venmo or PayPal or click the “pay online” button below to pay by credit card. You should also bring your signed Pool Guidelines Agreement either with payment or your first visit to the pool this season.
Please download, complete and sign the Pool Guidelines Agreement and bring it with you, along with any required payment (or proof of online payment) on your first visit to the pool this season.
• Upon entry, members must check-in. While at the lobby desk, members will patiently wait their turn to be checked in by staff.
• A sponsoring member must register their guests upon checking in, and the sponsoring member must accompany their guests at all times.
• Loitering in the lobby area is not allowed. Lifeguards stationed at the lobby desk and on deck require a clear line of sight of one another.
• Members who are sick should consider staying home to avoid transmitting illnesses to others.
• Do not leave valuables in the locker room. Personal items left behind will be considered unclaimed and disposed of at the end of each day.
• Members and guests may not be intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances. Drinking alcohol, smoking, or vaping on the premises is not permitted.
• No pets allowed inside pool enclosure except for service dogs.
• Members are responsible for supervising children under the age of 12 at all times.
• Anyone under 12 years of age must pass a swimming test before being allowed to swim in the diving well area of the pool.
• Non-swimmers must have a person over the age of 16 within an arm’s distance.
• If at any point a lifeguard notices signs of fatigue in a swimmer, lifeguards reserve the right to ask the swimmer to take a break, which may last up to 30 minutes.
• Members under the age of 18 must vacate the pool for adult-only swim at the three-quarter hour mark.
• No running, horseplay, dunking, pushing, or throwing people into the pool.
• No sitting or hanging onto the lane lines or ropes.
• Always follow lifeguards’ instructions.
• Members and guests should engage with the lifeguards and pool staff respectfully. Bullying of staff, members, or guests is not tolerated at the Moyaone Pool and constitutes grounds for immediate removal.
Moyaone Association Pool Management has full authority to immediately suspend pool privileges and/or to ask any member or guest to leave who engages in actions that are unlawful, against these Guidelines, or have the potential to be dangerous to the health, well-being, or enjoyment of the pool by other members and guests. Suspended pool privileges may be restored at the discretion of the Moyaone Association Pool Manager.
Guest Policy
The sponsoring member must always accompany their guests.
A pool member may sponsor a limited number of guests per visit. Pool staff reserves the right to limit capacity.
All guests must be registered at check-in, and guest fees are collected by the staff prior to entry.
Children & Teens
Children under the age of 12 must be supervised in pool area and locker rooms at all times by a responsible person who is at least 16 years old.
During open swim times, there will be an “adult swim” period scheduled 15 minutes before the top of every hour. During this time, all children under the age of 18 must exit the pool for 10 minutes.
Unless swimming with an instructor, all swimmers under the age of 12 must pass a swimming test before entering water deeper than 3 feet and using the diving well area.
If at any point a lifeguard notices signs of fatigue in a novice swimmer or an increase in deep-end activity overall, then lifeguards reserve the right to ask novice swimmers to take a 30-minute break (or longer, depending on the number of swimmers in the pool) from the pool.
Use of USCG-approved PFD is highly recommended.
Swim Diaper Policy
All children under the age of 4 who are not reliably potty trained must wear a properly fitted swim diaper at all times while in the main pool or baby pool.
Regular cloth or disposable diapers are not an acceptable alternative and are not permitted in either pool.
Properly fitted swim diapers must be snug around the waist and thighs.
Children’s Safety
Parent supervision and USCG-approved swim aides for young children are recommended. No blow-up swim aids are permitted for safety reasons.
Kickboards for swimming lessons or for swim practice are permitted.
Diving
Diving is only permitted in the deep end diving well area.
Wait until the previous diver has cleared the landing area before you dive.
Swim immediately to the ladder or side of the pool after diving.
Food and Drink
No glass containers are permitted in the pool area or locker rooms.
No gum, alcohol, smoking or napping are permitted within the pool enclosure.
Only food and drink are allowed on the grassy areas within the pool enclosure. Please clean up after yourselves. Guests may also picnic in the community pavilion on a first come, first serve basis if it is not reserved. Please respect pavilion reservations and clean-up after yourself!
The pool facility does not provide ice or refrigeration.
Other
The pool and baby pool may be closed at any time during normal hours of operation due to contamination, accident, or injury.
In the event of thunder or lightning, the pool adheres to the National Lightening Safety Institute’s advised safety procedures. Members and guests will be asked to clear the pool and deck areas for 30 minutes in the event of thunder and/or lightning. Locker rooms are not considered a safe environment during lightning and may not be used for sheltering.
Proper swimwear is required.
Persons with open sores, skin-related illness, or diarrhea may not go into a pool.
Parent-supervised swim aides for young children or kick boards for swimming lessons are permitted.
All accidents or injuries must be immediately reported to pool staff.
The Moyaone Pool is the home of the Accokeek Swim Team (AST). AST is a not-for-profit competitive swim team, in the Prince-Mont Swim League for ages 4-18 years. The goal of the team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at their age-level, from novice to seasoned competitor. The focus for team members is on developing and mastering correct stroke technique, learning teamwork, good sportsmanship, self-discipline and having fun. AST is led by volunteer members and parents, and all are welcome and encouraged to be involved in team activities. Find more information and the registration form here.

When hosting a home meet, the pool opens for recreational swimming at 1:00 pm
Each year the Moyaone Fundraising Committee hosts a ticketed evening social to raise money for Commons area improvement projects. Once the 2025 event is planned details will be posted here.
